FROM ABUSE TO THE SUBWAY: DOWN BUT NOT OUT - ENRICO MIGUEL THOMAS, USA
Once in a while a story hits our news stands
reaffirming to us the tenacity and strength of the human soul. Stories
which serve to remind us of the huge potential, we as human beings have to
conquer and rise above what is often insurmountable challenges.
Enrico Thomas, one of New York’s best emerging artists, is one such
incredible human being who has triumphed.
Art literally saved his life. At the age of 3 Enrico’s mother found him in
the bathroom screaming in anguish. The
shower was so hot it caused third degree burns on about sixty percent of his
body. As his mother held him in her arms
with his skin literally falling off, his father who did this, refused to get
help and Enrico soon fell into a coma. You can usually find Enrico in Union Square train
station or at the 72nd St. Columbus Circle train station. To find out more about his work visit: http://cityroom.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/04/21/artist-uses-the-subway-as-subject-and-canvas/

MASTERING ORGANIZATIONAL KNOWLEDGE FLOW: HOW TO MAKE KNOWLEDGE SHARING WORK
Here Frank Leisner shares about his brand new book.
The book attempts to make the point, that Knowledge is closely connected
to people, and that the method of trying to "manage" knowledge outside
of people's heads just via technology is a short-sided approach and the
No.1 reason, why there is the large disconnect that organizations claim
the "knowledge of their people is the biggest asset" on one side, but
they don't succeed in getting any of that knowledge to flow between
their staff, which represents a lot of lost opportunity to have their
people grow and succeed.
