INTERVIEWS FROM THE EUROPEAN FILM FESTIVAL, PARIS - 27TH-28TH MARCH 2010
(MORE IMAGES TO BE UPLOADED SHORTLY)
The European Spiritual Film Festival was a dynamic two day event, held in Paris. Film makers from around the globe submitted a range of powerful films, all of which focused in some aspect on the spiritual aspect of humanity, consciouness of self, of being. Many of the films explored human nature from a point of the wider sense of self, of spiritual understanding, of humanity as a whole and looked at the consequences of our actions.
Other films looked at the work being done around the world by various individuals who worked with the poor in terms of providing them with information and support to become independent and helping them to maintain financial sustainabilty and stability.

Kengo Kurimoto, Director and Award Winner of Animation - Yoga, Noga, Reyoga
Animation: 6 minutes long
Two young monks meditate - the state of Yoga, being in union with each other. Whilst meditating a sense of competing enters into the silence as both monks become aware of each other in an egotistical way. They then start to compete, trying to effect a state of superiority in terms of who could meditate better, longer and in a more powerful way - Noga - a state of seperation. They then enter into a place where they realise what is happening and then work towards joining together again Reyoga. A very interesting animation which covers so much in such a short space of time, with so much learning for us as individuals in terms of our awareness of self and of the ego.

Interview with Geir Ness

What a wonderful interview. Geir inspires us with his story of how he produced his first fragrance inspired by his mother, the first major fragrance from Norway. Here he speaks of his determination, perseverance, maxing his credit card. Click here to listen.
Here is an excerpt from his biog:
'Although many people discouraged Geir from pursuing his dream, he never gave up. He borrowed money from a friend, maxed out his credit card and produced only 1,000 bottles. At first, he got Laila into one store, sold out after one hour and put people on a waiting list. He knew he had a winner and did whatever he had to do to raise more money. He sold his clothes at garage sales, sat in TV audiences to make $20 a day, odd jobs here and there. Little by little it started to pay off. He was so sure that Laila was destined for success, he stayed focused on his goal.'
