Qarma Broadcast is dedicated to the late Deborah Austin, who passed away from Breast Cancer in November 2006.  It is through her spirit that I have been able to create such a wonderful project as Qarma.  She touched many many peoples lives in her lifetime especially those she taught as a Primary School teacher.  Her spirit still lives on in through and around me.  Therefore, to continue in the vein of her dreams and aspirations, I would like to continue to support two charities which were important to her.  The first one is Toybox a charity which she avidly and passionately supported and also to Breast Cancer Haven where she found peace and comfort away from her pain.

Giving is one of the most notable and loving gestures we can all do and when we understand that when we give  from a place of unconditional love, then we get back so much more and these opportunities will be reflected back in our lives 100%.

Registered in 1992, Toybox is a Christian charity committed to providing hope for the most disadvantaged children, young people and their families in Latin America. Our vision is of a world where there are no street children, where families are restored and those who are disadvantaged have choices and hope. Our mission is to work in partnership with indigenous organisations supporting front line work with street children and their communities, being a facilitator and advocate for this work as we show God’s love in action for street children.

The Wings of Mercy vision was birthed many years ago, when the Founder/Director, was a university Student in India. Touched by the millions of suffering masses in India, through his Christian faith, Roger and a couple of friends decided to make a difference. It all began by reaching out to the outcaste communities of India and the sick in hospitals with the message of Hope and encouragement, with gifts, food stuffs, collected through locals and fellow students.  Roger believes that every human being has an inherent God given potential to succeed if given a little opportunity and help to do so. On his return, Roger continued to involve himself with social and community projects through both local and international organizations, as he realized poverty levels were at an increasing rate. Nearly 70% of his country men, were living below the poverty line!  He had to start somewhere, where poverty was steeped and rampant –none other place than the slums and the surrounding villages.

Due to the many requests that were arising for help, Roger decided to fully commit himself to the work of Wings of Mercy which then had finally been registered as a community based charitable organization. It is now four years ago, since Wings of Mercy was registered – registration no.4886. Within that short period, Wings has impacted hundreds of families in the Slums and surrounding villages, through its various educational programs, trainings, and income generating activities. Wings of Mercy supports a number of Schools in the slums, it has personally been involved in the starting and establishment of two of those Schools.

WORLD CUP OPPORTUNITY - EXPERIENCE A SAFARI IN KENYA WHILST ALSO RAISING FUNDS TO SUPPORT THE WORK OF WINGS OF MERCY
